Neil Diamond

Warranty Information

This stout performance Shortboard is designed for those average days of surf from knee high to head high. It has a moderately full template with a wider nose and added volume for the ease of paddling. The Neil’s bottom contour has a deep single concave with a subtle vee of the tail that generates drive and speed quickly.

The shallow angular Diamond tail gives the Neil its distinct look. The Diamond tail shortens the rail length which makes your board feel a little smaller, easier to turn and a whole lot more alive in sloppy average conditions.

  1. Best Shortboard Ever

Posted by on Feb 13th 2018

Growing up in Encinitas & Del Mar I’ve been surfing for over 30 years and have had a ton of boards over the years. Today our quiver holds about 16 boards but my go to board for waves head high to over head is my 6’3” Rusty Neil Diamond. I told Rusty at the Boardroom Show a couple years back “This is by far the best and most responsive shortboard I have ever owned!” So imagine one day we were doing a beach clean up at Moonlight Beach with 90 High School students and I gave my favorite board to a kid on the Point Loma Surf Team. A rogue wave came, he dropped into D Street and when he went down the board snapped in half. I felt sick to my stomach. Though I put it back yogether with the help of Ding King and rode it 6 or 7 more times it was only a matter of time in which I retired the board. The happy ending, asking Royce to have Rusty shape me the exact board, same dims. I ride this mostly as a quad as I love the way it feels on rail, doing hard carving bottom turns and vertical snaps. Of course as a goofy footerI favor the lefts at 15th Street so you’ll find me and the crew there most often. Seriously this stick is the best shortboard ever. Thanks guys!

I Surf for aprox. 10 years and I have never experienced anything like this board.
It has the best drive, control and speed in and out the wave with an incredible paddling.
    Recommend for every situation.

Recommend for every type of wave.

  3. Great all around Board

I have owned two of these boards and they work great from punchy knee high up to anything head high. It surfs like a shortboard but has more volume and width so it catches waves easier. The diamond tail is a really cool feature because the tail has an easy release but doesn't slide too much because of the diamond point is there for control. Definitely recommend this board and try it inEPS!
