Panda

Warranty Information

This is what William Cardoso, aka Panda, rides in competition. Panda is a heavy surfer, 200 lbs, yet very powerful, throws buckets of water on every turn. He needs something to float him but still be a high performance surfboard.

Good amount of rocker combined with a expressive single concave plus a kick in the last 3 inches of the tail; All that combined enable William to go vertical in tight arcs. The board has a curvy outline , a pronounced bump and a not so wide squash. The rails are tapered to sink in the water for powerful turns, keeping the thickness at the center with an accentuated dome deck. For waves waist high to double overhead.

  1. Favorite Board

I recently got a 6'6 Panda as a daily driver and was finally able to use it on this Florence Hurricane swell in MD. As a bigger guy we were able to spec it out to around 42 liters which at 6'4 230lbs was perfect in chest to head high waves with a bit of push and some steep take offs. It's a whole new world on a board that was built for a bigger guy and then dialed in even more. Paired with FCSII XL PC Performer fins it's a dream. Would definitely order one again.

  2. Awesome board

Awesome board, works well in small or mushy surf.

  3. Panda

I have been surfing for over fifty years, so I'm a little slow on the jump up these days, and I'm not going to win any paddle battles. I weigh 175. The 6'4" panda fits all my needs. It is extremely responsive and an easy paddle.

  4. I was looking for something like this

Posted by on Mar 25th 2016

I´m a 160 lb, 5´10, 45 years old, good shape, once a week warrior using 5/4 hoodie, boots, gloves. Riding Rockaway waves(NYC) (mostly 4ft close out vertical to cylindrical walls) I am not heavy weight but really needed something that floats like my favorite summer fish (5'6, 33 lts) but moves and go vertical like my best short board(5'10, 27 lts). I couldn't find anything like that until I came across the RUSTY PANDA!!! Its so lively, so nervous, but at same time is so stable and user friendly. I love this board ( I bought the 5'10) Now I can go very fast and with a vertical approach but no paddle sacrifice at all.
    THANKS RUSTY!!

  5. Great Board

Nigel shaped me a Panda as my everyday shortboard for Croyde, UK. It handles everything from waist to double overhead. It goes in onshore mush and hollow clean conditions. Its really fast down the line and manoeuvrable. I'm a big guy, 97kg and the 6,2 floats me great. The extra volume really helps me in the UK winter when I am wearing a 6/5/4, boots, gloves and hood. Probably one of the best shortboards I have owned. Read the reviews and then buy one. You wont be disappointed. Thanks Rusty and NS.

  6. Must have

I got Aido to sort me this board down under. As soon as conditions are a little ruffly or not top to bottom, I get the panda.
The reviews don't lie. Get one.
    Cheers rusty

My relation with the Panda can be described as ''love at first sight''. This board paddles very, very well - even better than the Dwart - and is ready for every move you try during a wave ride. I just love this board. Thinking about ordering a EPS one.

    Perfect ride!
    A must buy...

  9. Epic.

Posted by on Jul 9th 2015

Got this gem at Inflight in Seal Beach. Was looking for a board that could get me through this summer slump, that California is notorious for. Goes very very well in small waves, but also holds it's own when the waves are kinda pumping. It's fast, springy, and very responsive. Don't know who Willian Cardoso is, but this board is so epic... so so epic.
