SD

Warranty Information

The new “SD” or, San Diego shortboard, is designed to be the ideal go-to shortboard for Southern California. The “SD” performs well in everything from the softer beachbreaks of Del Mar and Leucadia to the hollow reef breaks of La Jolla and Sunset Cliffs. Because of the versatility of the SD design it is the ideal one board quiver for a trip to anywhere on the East Coast.

We took the predictable performance of the Yes, Thanks and dialed it in for smaller, softer surf by adding volume, a little width, and an increase in thickness. The rails of the SD are foiled with a low apex. A crowned deck helps maximize the volume in this fun shortboard. The bottom of the SD has a deep single concave that allows the board to generate speed through the flats. Ride the SD 2"-4" shorter than your traditional shortboard due to the additional volume, and enjoy the results of this looser, faster precision shortboard!

  1. Best board I have ever had.

Firstly customer service and turnaround time was insane. From the date of order to the day of receive was two weeks. I got the 5'10" SD, and man oh man! The best board I have ever ridden! I am so happy with the board. It feels loose under my feet, holds a rail really well in turns. When Hitting the lip there is no doubt the board is coming back down the wave with you ready to hit the lip again. Never have I felt so comfortable on a board. Thank you! I will be trying the Torsion Spring technology next for sure.

  2. Bad Ass Little Surfboard

I live in Santa Cruz but I’m from Orange County. I paddled out at Little Wind n Sea yesterday for my first session on a stick dims 5’8 in an E-Poly construction.I had the best time! Waves were chest to overhead and glassy with some barrel sections. The board is very fast and loose but has a good amount of hold. You can throw 100% at any turn and it will stay in track without losing any speed. The combination of low entry rocker, moderate single concave, and foiled rails work perfectly in Santa Cruz waves. The wide squash tail with a hip in the tail template make for fast easy turning. Can’t wait for summer. It does red line a little bit in overhead surf but bigger fins helps that (I’m riding it as a thruster) Great Job Guys! Also I’ve got both traction pads front and rear on it and they work great with booties. No sticking. You can easily slide your feet around and not lose traction. A+

  3. Magic Board?

Could be the best Rusty board I've had yet, coming off a Catfish and a Dwart. Board catches waves with ease and really sticks to the face of the wave with tons of drive and control, but still super maneuverable. Although it's called the SD, it's found a home up in NorCal and will be my go to board!
