Noel Salas Tests and Reviews the Rusty "Miso"

“I’m calling it that one board quiver.”

Noel Salas got his hands on the Rusty Miso to review and scored some waves to ride it in. He was pleasantly surprised with how the board worked in sizeable surf as well as the wave pool at BSR in Waco, TX. Noel is 5’9” and 165 lbs and surfed two different Misos; one at 5’5 x 19.25 x 2.25 26.6L in EPoly and the other at 5’6 x 19.15 x 2.25 26.3L in EPS/Epoxy. He had some good things to say about Miso while giving his two cents on the design and how it worked for him.

“It surfed with a lot more performance, it got top to bottom quick, and it really surprised me how good this board went being so short at 5’5 in overhead surf.”

“I really felt like in the overhead surf as I got to the bottom and set that toe side rail, it engaged and I could push as hard as I want.”

“Coupling the bottom contours with the medium exit rocker, it gave me the traction and the performance that I was shocked by, and I really liked it.”

“The Miso is very versatile. Not only with its wave range, but you can pretty much run whatever fin setup you like, and you’re going to have a good time.”
